Pennywort extract: Its activity is linked purely to the triterpene fraction, acting mainly on the level of fibroblasts with the following improvement in re-epithelization, and maintenance of vessel wall tone and elasticity.
Horse chestnut extract: its main component is escin. It is recognized as having vasoprotective, decongestant, and soothing properties. In addition to these, horse chestnut performs other important functions such as improving venous tone, increasing capillary resistance, and reducing oedema. As a result, it is an invaluable ally in cases of tired, heavy and achy legs.
Butcher's broom extract: Thanks to its high concentration of ruscogenins (particularly ruscogenin and neuruscogenin), it is an excellent adjuvant in cases of venous circulation disorders, particularly in the lower limbs. It is used in micro-circulation disorders such as pain, and heaviness in the legs, as well as swelling and itching.
Camphor essential oil: In folklore it is used for prophylaxis of infectious diseases. It was also used to treat diseases of nervous and respiratory origin. Warming and rubefacient.
Peppermint essential oil: Peppermint is one of the plants that have always played an important curative role, and numerous therapeutic and medicinal properties have been ascribed to it. The Egyptians and Greeks used it for its anti-nausea properties and as a digestive aid. Pliny the Elder extolled its properties, saying that its fragrance was able to "excite the soul and stimulate the appetite." The Salerno Medical School used it extensively as a vermifuge, and even Pietro Andrea Mattioli wrote: "Mint has a certain bitterness in it, with which it kills worms." Its properties are so many, and have been appreciated so long that in the 11th Century Walahfried Strabo, a German abbot, theologian and poet, wrote: "If a man wanted to enumerate all the qualities, types and names of mint, then he would also have to know how many fish swim in the Red Sea or how many thunderbolts Vulcan, the fire god of Lemnos, hurls into the air from the enormous mouth of Etna."
Cypress essential oil: strengthens and tones weakened connective tissue. It also has an excellent decongestant power, and helps to reactivate circulation, making it an adjuvant in cases of tired, swollen and heavy legs.
Rosemary essential oil: activates micro-circulation and cellular oxygenation. Rubefacient, stimulating and tonic, it promotes tissue firming. Excellent for spinal massages for tired backs.
