Clays are the main constituents of the earth's surface. They play a vital role in the life of man, and nature’s kingdoms. Green clay is marine origin, which is why it is so rare! Rich in trace elements and natural salts found in sea water, green clay carries with it the rhythm of the waves and tides, and because of this units the two most important cosmic forces, the Sun and the Moon.

Green Clay is extracted almost all year in the far south of Sicily from a quarry round; a clean, sunny and windy place, not far from the Mediterranean Sea. When excavated, the clay is turquoise-blue, but as it dries, the color changes to green, and then to light grey when dry and free of moisture. However, once this clay comes back into contact with water, its green color shows up again in all its beauty! Green clay is the bearer of life force, and of the warm energy absorbed by the sun during the drying process, which takes place in the summer months immediately after it has been excavated. A unique heritage that makes green clay a body shaper and which, thanks to the presence of silica, helps to slow down the ageing process, making it an exceptional natural anti-ageing agent as well as an excellent remedy for soothing, purifying and regenerating the skin. Green clay is able to absorb excess heat and alleviate painful discomfort; it also protects, moulds, regenerates, stimulates and keeps the skin young with its powers from light, and the subtle scents of cosmic origin that it holds in the heart of the Earth; it absorbs stress and free radicals, leaving the skin silky soft and supple.  Green clay applied to the hair makes it shiny, healthy and thick. Fine green clay is also suitable for footbaths/handbaths (relaxing and regenerating tired and weary feet/hands), poultices, face and body masks.

For face masks: decant 1 tablespoon of Aerated Fine Green Clay into a glass or ceramic container, add enough water to mix and stir until you get a very nice white creamy texture, shiny appearance and plastic consistency. You can add 3-10 drops of 100% pure essential oil and mix well. Apply the mask to the facial skin and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Remove the white clay using a sponge moistened with lukewarm water, or with a hydrolate or herbal tea (it is usually removed when dry). Repeat the treatment 1-3 times a week, depending on your skin type.

For hair masks: decant 1 tablespoon of Aerated Fine Green Clay into a glass or ceramic container, add sufficient water and coconut/linseed/ castor oil to mix it to create a thick cream texture which you apply to all the hair, wet at first, and leave on for about 20 minutes. Then wash with a light shampoo and rinse with lukewarm or cold water.  N.B. 3-10 drops of 100% pure essential oil can be added and mixed well.

For poultice treatments: use a larger quantity of Aerated Fine Green Clay in proportion to the area to be treated, apply to the body and cover with a woolen cloth or bandage for at least 30 minutes. Always remove using a sponge dampened with lukewarm water, or a hydrolate or even a herbal tea (usually removed when dry).

For partial baths: Dissolve 80-100 g of Aerated Fine Green Clay in a bowl of lukewarm water and soak your hands/feet.

For baths: Dissolve 500g of Aerated Fine Green Clay in a bathtub full of water and then fully immerse the body.
