Effective and immediate adjuvant action for the treatment of pediculosis for children and adults.
Pediculosis is lice infestation and itch is the predominant symptom of this parasitosis. The lice is equipped with three pairs of legs provided with hooks that allow them to cling to the hair; it feeds on sebum and sometimes blood, so it can not survive long away from humans, in dust or on floors. Very able to hide (cannot stand the light), the lice is hardly identifiable through the hair. To verify its presence it is easier to look for its eggs that are half a millimeter long, white, oval, shiny, easily distinguishable from dandruff, because this is irregularly shaped and detaches from hair with a breath.
Pediculosis is not a sign of poor hygiene and affects people from all social class; although it is not dangerous to health, it can be a source of great concern for parents. Head lice is predictable: it does not fly, it does not jump and it moves slowly and therefore the prevention of pediculosis is quite easy with regard to individual commitment. The undisputed protagonists of the OVOPID line are the fine vegetable oils of neem (Azadirachta indica) and andiroba (Carapa guaianensis), carefully mixed with 100% pure, natural and total essential oils of hybrid lavender (Lavandula hybrida), tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus), thymus capitatus (Thymus capitatus) and thyme (Thymus vulgaris), which create an unfavorable environment for lice.
The vegetable oil of neem was widely used since ancient times by Indian populations to remove insects and parasites but not only: already in 2000 b.C., this plant was called "the tree that frees from disease".
Lavender and its essential oil were used since ancient times for their scent and for their numerous actions both on the body and on the psyche: to be kept in mind that already in the Middle Ages, it was used to fight parasites that affected men and animals...In fact, the essential oil of lavender is characterized by a repellent aroma for many insects including lice.
The leaves of tea tree, from time immemorial, have been used by the indigenous Australians for their purifying and repellent properties against the parasites.
